Michaella Jelin is a US based film & digital photographer.
She splits her time between NYC & Atlanta and is available for worldwide travel.
Her photography is greatly influenced by both her design background, and her training in classical music. Her photos feel the way a cello sounds like the human voice; genuine, intimate, warm, rich, melodic, human. Images that feel personal, spontaneous, nostalgic and are full of energy and life.
She has her BFA in Graphic Design from Georgia State University. In 2020, New York based Rangefinder Magazine named her one of the 30 Rising Stars of wedding photography and she is a recognized current artist by Counterpart Photo Collective, a global documentary photography collective. Her work has been published in The New York Times, People Magazine, BET, Anti-Bride, Carats & Cake, Junebug Weddings, The Knot, and more.
I fully believe every time I pick up my camera it is such a collaborative experience, and I always want to ensure that we’re the right fit & that you feel excited & comfortable. Since all needs are different, I offer custom proposals to make sure that I can offer you something tailored exactly to what you have planned & what you would love documented.
If you’re reaching out about a wedding/event I’d love to know your event date/location, if you have an estimated photography investment, and anything else you’d like to share - the more info you can provide the better :) Really looking forward to connecting and hearing about everything you have planned!
